Harold L. Murray Sr.

Surrounded by his wife, Marcia, and their children Tammy, Kathy, Lin, and Anmarie, grandson Tony, and dear family friend Wanda McNulty, Harold L. Murray Sr. went home to be with the Lord on the morning of July 9, 2010 after a 3 ½ year battle with cancer.
Harold was born in Bay View, MD on March 31, 1936, the son of Mary Murray Gorman and William Jeffers Murray.
He began his career in 1956 working for James Julian Inc. on the Rt. 272 project and went on to become the General Superintendent of Operations of Maryland Materials Inc. from 1959-2006. He was listed in Strathmore's VIP listing of Who's Who among exceptional leaders in the field of mining operations and crushing equipment in 2000.
Harold was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Eldora Carr.
He is also survived by 6 additional children; David, Danny, Jimmy, Kenny, Mike, and Donna, their mother Shirley, his brother Horace, 24 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many loving in-laws.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of North East at 206 Mechanics Valley Rd. N.E., MD 21901 where Harold was a member since his baptism in Christ in 2006.
