Ruby E. Scarborough, 85 of Elkton, MD, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 in the Laurelwood Nursing Center, Elkton, MD.
Born in Wilksboro, NC, on April 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John Q. and the late Pearl (Reynolds) Rhoades. She was the wife of the late David A. Scarborough, Sr. who died on June 16, 2006.
She is survived by one daughter: Doris A. McCoy and her husband Ralph of Elkton, MD; two sons: David A. Scarborough, Jr. and his wife Mady of Elkton, MD, Barry E. Scarborough and his wife Gloria of Bear, DE; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Atkinson.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Grant Hasty will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
